Flamenco Rhythms Tapes

In 1996, I released two cassettes called Flamenco Rhythms designed for dance students to practice what they learn in class. They include several minutes of the most common palos played with many variations, as well as specific transitions and sections. Tape 1 was for beginners and Tape 2 for advanced. These were the first of their kind in the world, predating the Solo Compás releases by some years. Click here for PDF with inlays, notes and flyer. The tapes are also useful for guitarists to hear what and how to play for dancers. A second edition was released with different cover design. I include here some tracks from Tape 2.

Selected Demos and Unreleased Tracks

* with Sirish Kumar (Tabla) and Kiranpal Singh (Santur) ** composition by Niño Miguel (backing rhythm: Andrew Veivers)

Early Home Recordings

Three solo pieces from the mid 1980s — mostly my own compositions but with some traditional material and also bits of Niño Ricardo, Serranito and José Antonio Rodriguez. Please forgive the sound quality — these were recovered from a very old and dusty cassette.

Going back even earlier to 1979/80, click here for some duets with my dad (on the "A Life Dedicated to Flamenco Guitar" page).
